Northern California Renaissance Faire

September has finally arrived, and for me, that means Renaissance Faire! The Northern California Renaissance Faire will open on Saturday, September 8th, 2007 and continue on weekends through Sunday, October 14th, 2007. Our venue is Casa de Fruta, a beautiful, sunny patch of California near Hollister and Gilroy. Every Sunday you'll find me enjoying myself among the many hundred other performers!

We'll be recreating the fictional English village of Willingtown, circa 1590 or so. You'll have the chance to greet and meet famous historic personages such as William Shakespeare, Sir Francis Drake, and of course, Her Most Royal Majesty Elizabeth! Other characters you might run into include the Puritans, the Mongers, the Constables, the Town Criers, and more!

In addition to the entertainment, expert artisans will have their beautiful handmade crafts on display for your perusal and purchase. And don't forget to treat yourself to an ale and a great meal from one of our many food vendors. Turkey legs, bangers and mash and shepherd's pies are all there, waiting to be enjoyed by you and yours!

This total-immersion theatrical environment is truly a one-of-a-kind experience, and every day is different! So step through the gate and step back in time! Come join in the romance and revelry of the Renaissance Faire!
